Public City Bank

Polotsk Public City Bank was opened in 1874. The financial institution produced issuance of credits and loans, acceptance of deposits, salary payment and other banking operations. In the same building as the Public Bank there was the Savings Bank. Cash and securities were stored in metal safes in the basement. Director of the bank and two fellows were staff of this institution. The two-story stone building, built in the late 19th century, is preserved to the present day.
