Floor clock

At the beginning of the last century a common element of a mansion interior was a floor clock in a bulky wooden case, which was decorated with a carved ornament and various paintings. The owners lovingly called it a grandfather's clock or a longcase clock.

The floor clock presented at the exhibition, was made in the early 20th century. The mechanism of Western production, the pendulum and dumbbells are hidden in a three-storied wooden case with hand-made embossed ornaments. The height of such clocks reached two meters.
