In the middle of the 19th century technological progress gave humanity the "kerosene era". Exquisite kerosene lamps were produced everywhere. There were diverse designs such as portable and hanging lamps, lamps for desks or walls. They were not only lighting devices, but elements of decor.
Desk kerosene lamp, presented at the exhibition, was made in Germany in the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries. Its ceramic body is decorated with floral ornament. The lampshade is made of white glass.
