Kuznetsov porcelain

The history of Matvey Sidorovich Kuznetsov's brand of porcelain products began in 1812 when his first factory was opened in Tver. In the early 20th century eight plants of the M.S.Kuznetsov's Association of Porcelain and Pottery Production made affordable dishes for the mass consumption.

The range of products was diverse: dinnerware, tea things and custom-made porcelain, that was either pure white or decorated with paintings. A distinctive feature of the Kuznetsov porcelain was the flower decorations. For ornamentation images of various flowers were used: roses, violets, cornflowers. In 1832, Matvey Kuznetsov's son (Terentiy) founded the Dulёvo porcelain factory. The factory works nowadays.
