Dovid Arleevskiy's coaching inn

Typically, coaching inns were located near markets. Most probably, a coaching inn of Polotsk citizen Dovid Arleevskiy was located near the Lower Market on Nizhne-Pokrovskaya Street. Guests of the inn were peasants and traders of modest means who came to the city in the fair days from all over the county. Visitors could rent a room and settle for a night in the inn, taste the local cuisine or drink a cup of hot tea with pastries in the tea-room. A small bakery, which was located on the same street, also belonged to Dovid Arleevskiy. Careful owner could keep a horse and a cart with goods in the inn courtyard.
