Tablecloth

A tablecloth became a common component of the table setting for almost all social classes in the 19th - early 20th centuries. In the cities the tablecloths were produced of tight linen or cotton cloth on the textile enterprises.

The tablecloth made of tight snow-white cloth was produced in one of the Western European factories in 1881. It is decorated with gorgeous floral ornaments of meadow grass and wildflowers. These patterns were common for the Art Nouveau style in the Western European textile industry in the late 19th century. Such patterns were also used for the interior of city houses and furniture decorations.
